Talking New river, West Virginia 5/27

So i finally got a break from work and am on vacation for the next week down in West Virginia for some relaxation and more importantly fishing! Being my first day down here I didn't have too much time to fish but I found an hour or so to wet a line. Grabed the ultra light and my two go to river smallie lures,1/8 ounce jig head with 3 inch grub, and 4 inch senko and walked down to the river. First cast snag, second cast WAM! From that point on it was a bite, fish or snag for the entire hour. Caught them 50-50 on both lures. 6 smallies landed, a few jumped and lost, and one toad rock bass. Nothing big at all but I'm sure they will get bigger. Tons of fun, can't wait for tomorrow.

Nice! Fishing beats working, but catching beats everything! Enjoy, and keep up the fun

Nice job! I love exploring and fishing new places. Catching something while there is just an added bonus........
