Default Gloucester - North of the Cape

Anybody hearing any reports? Is it just haddock or these guys getting a mixed catch of haddock, hake, pollack and red fish? Thinking of trying a open boat in the next few weeks. Don't want to make the long drive if action is iffy

I went last week and it was lights out on haddock and cod to 20 lbs. We threw back at least 120 cod.
Limited on haddock by 1030. Fished Green Harbor.

We also had 40 pollack but, they were all small. The gill netterd are catching them because they have nothing else to fish for.

I went on 5/14 and we had a 9 man limit of haddock (135) by 9:30a. There were a lot of nice cod coming up but Captain said it was not nearly as bad as it has typically been. Sometimes they are throwing back 4 or 5 cod (big ones too) for every keeper haddock. After that, we went to the deep to catch some pollack, had at least 50 but most were short along with a red and a nice cusk. I personally like the haddock the best so it is worth the trip.
