Bay Bass fishing
Arrived at the marina nice and early with my dad so we were able to fish the first of the outgoing tide. Ran across the bay to get bait and it was tough, bunker were really spread out and hard to snag. Eventually got enough for the day and ran off to where we had our big fish this past weekend hoping for a repeat. We had perfect conditions to start, no boat traffic, and a great drift, yet after an hour there were no marks and the worst part, no bites.... It was time to go with plan B and thankfully it paid off. Not hot and heavy fishing, but a pick of bass and blues on bunker chunks. All the blues were little guys, 3-6 pounds and the bass ranged from 29.5 inches to 36 inches. Frustrating start to the day, but not a bad finish. Pics to follow.
