![]() Gravid female common on a 1/32 oz black leadhead jig with yellow eyes and 1" twister tail. Took a half hour to land it in the Millstone River. Lots of carp were jumping but I didn't get a hit on corn meal bait. I was very fortunate that the 2 resident psychopaths didn't come over to my spot and cast across my line like they did the previous day.

![]() Real healthy looking fish. Looks like she's loaded with eggs too. It amazes me how many carp on this site are caught on small jigs, never knew carp were that likely to take jigs. Thought most of their food was based on scent and smell. Guess that's not the case. Either way must have been a great fight on 2 lb. test. Many people frown upon carp, I think they get a bad rap because they can virtually live in water that wouldn't sustain any other fish but they're a very worthwhile fish to catch and will put up a great fight. In Europe they're almost viewed in the same category as trout, funny how different parts of the world have such different perspectives. Great picture and glad the psychopaths didn't ruin your day!
