Default rainy day troutin

had the day free so i decided to get out of the house and hit up the musky. first stop no love. lost 2 lures and killed 2 ticks. then decided to hit the tca. started at pt mountain and worked up stream. still no love. worked alot of fishy looking water but nada. hit a pool further down stream and hooked up with a nice bow; only to have it throw the hook. headed up stream to penwell and there are no trespassing signs everywhere. real shame as that are is a nice stretch of river. i don't know how that is going to affect fishing that area but it seems for now off limits. didn't want to push my luck so left there and hit a few more spots up river before calling it quits. total for the day. 2 lures lost. 3 ticks killed. 1 fish hooked. it was nice to be out. only saw one other fisherman at the tca.

Nothing pisses me off more than no trespassing signs on public water shores!

Thumbs up Re: rainy day troutin

People were having huge parties there and TOTALLY trashed the place, hence the signage. Can't believe that many ticks already, dog ticks or deer ticks ?
Plenty of spots to hit, just gotta keep at it.

to clarify are you talking about by the mill itself (north of penwell rd) or the penwell stretch (south of penwell rd) being posted? north of the road there is private property, but south of the road the right bank is DEP green acres and def should not be posted and the left bank is the same past one small property. sounds like the sheriff just needs to roll through there on a couple nights this summer so it's not the hot party spot anymore.
