Default Jersey Hooker report

Yes I was dumb enough to talk Capt Rich and Billy in to take us out fishing today. Damn it was cold. Made a very long steam south. Ice on the deck salted heavily and we started. Not sure how Billy made it to the bow to set the hooks. Thanks Billy you Dah man!!! The fishing was a bit slow. But we managed some bites on each dropped. I was lucky enough to get what I was after. A nice baby girl 12lbs. Eric S got a 10lb, Donnie got a 8 Rich got and 8 and some other quality fish. Not a lot of fish but good quality. Very happy Rich let me twist his arm into taking us. Billy did an awesome job taking care of us all all day in very difficult conditions. Seas were bumpy on the way down but beautiful the rest of the day. Click image for larger version

Congrats Joey. Some nice quality fish there. This weather this winter has been brutal. Even though it has been pretty warm winter to date 70% of my trips have been cancelled do to weather.

Congrats Joey. I give you a lot of credit in putting a trip together in that weather. There are not that many people that love tog fishing enough to head out into that cold. I am glad that your efforts were rewarded. You are now a true Tog Hunter. Any on the jig? LOL

It's amazing what temps you can fish in when you have a heated helmet! Nice work gentlemen, give you all credit for freezing your a$$es off out there!

Even Capt Monty of the famed Morningstar told me I was crazy to think that he could have sailed yesterday in that cold, said we were all nuts up here north of the Mason/Dixon.
