Blackfish 11/25. Rock Bottom

Jumped on an open boat trip with one of our new sponsors Rock Bottom charters!!
Arrived at the boat and was greeted by capt and his mate and we were under way with our crew of 4 in the dark. Got set up at first light and it wasn't long till my first keeper hit the deck!!! The bites were there but the fish took their time today, really had to wait for the right one! Captain Ron did a great job at the sticks all day with multiple repositions and shifts. I ended the day with 9 keeps orl, nothing huge biggest for me was 6 pounds. The rest of the crew did just as well with Kevin having the hot hand with 10 keeps to just shy of 8 pounds and Jeff and his wife getting their limit also!

I fished my bucktail rod with an unfinished 3oz spro for most of the day had 6 keepers with it and had a lot of fun with the light action, the bite is very different with a jig, and has its advantages and disadvantages. I will most likely add this new style to my arsenal as it was a lot of fun!

Can't say enough about the first class service that was provided by captain and mate today!! They cut all your crabs fresh for you not sitting in a nasty bucket, all fish were bleed, filets look great! This was great trip and I will sail with capt Ron again! Top notch and top class all the way!!
