Saturday Raritan Bay Bass

Today I took out Uncle Tony and the boys. I decided to run down the beach to find the bass that have been pounding bunker off Monmouth beach.
Wrong move. Oops! oh well.
On my way back in I stopped between the channels and trolled for a while for one 25" bass.
Had some fish earlier in the week at the reach and got called in from another charter captain. So we trolled around for a while looking for bait and readings and "Bang" we had our first keeper. Trolled for a few hours and put 5 bass in the boat to 40" and 25 lbs.
Not knock out fishing but they are here and fishing will only get better as temps drop and moon pushes in more fish from Long Island.

Glad I got the call and could make this trip.
You & mate Rob do a darn fine job, and really searched & worked hard to put us on the fish.
Nice bag of filets for each of us. It's only gonna get better.
