Party Boat Angler Thursday report
`Another nice day on the water with very good fishing but the size shrunk over night. There were doubles and triples around the boat but we were in NY again today and most fish were under 10 inch. Some fish were going into the buckets so I waited for them to grow but they didn't. I made a few moves and did not see anything going on in a rather large fleet. As a point of interest at the end of the day I got a report of one head boat having only 2 keepers all day. I can see how it happened as we had a few barren drops in the middle of the day where we had fish yesterday. Zev Sender from Teaneck had todays pool with a 4 pound tog.
I went in search of some bigger fish and got lucky finding some jumbos. Plenty of action all day with a true assortment of fish. We had porgy, sea bass, tog, fluke, weakfish, bluefish and blow fish. the ocean is calming and fish are moving. This has always been my favorite time to fish and with some luck this year may pan out.
WE ARE NOT SAILING TOMORROW FRIDAY AS I AM NOT A FAN OF SOUTH WIND.
Next trip Saturday 10/10 leaving at 7:00 AM. NO GALLEY
Thanks captain George
