Hi, I've been lurking off and on for about a year now when I have time. I just don't have much time to fish usually but I like to check this site whenever I am about to go to see how the fishing has been or what's working or if the river is high or muddy etc. I wanted to say thanks to everyone that contributes. I'm sorry that I don't have more to give back, but I don't fish all that often and when I do I'm just not that successful. I have learned a lot from reading this site though and my brothers and I had a very successful, for us anyway, fishing trip/family vacation to Maine recently. A lot of that success is due to the advice on this site, if not about fishing directly, then how to approach fishing as far as mindset(have fun), what times to fish(whenever they are biting), where to fish(off the beaten path), and of course when in doubt if you are struggling with a new location or technique hire a guide even if it's just for the first day.

So, thanks to everyone and I'll try to post more reports as hopefully I'll have fewer skunkings in my future and more fishing!

Oh, and when I do fish it's typically one or two trips a year in freshwater with the family where I typically struggle until recently, plus a couple trips a year in the salt with the Down Deep crew which is usually when I do my catching.
