Default Shba fluke tournament

So me and 3 of my friends went out in search of the big one!!!
Day 1 we went out to the deep sticky stuff and managed to get 8 quality keepers with the biggest being 6.8lbs. My friend convinced us not to weigh it in cause he said it would never hold up.
Day 2 went to the same spot and it was game on we got 13 keepers with 10 of them being over 21". Around 9:30 I got wacked rod bent in half fish taking drag adjusted it fought the fish for about a min then it popped of we were all depressed cause it was a bigggg fish. Reeled up my like adjusted my gulp and right back down it went. 3 bounces later I get wacked again and it's another big fish. Got it to the net and it went 9.4lbs for 1st place. Wow what a feeling 1st tournament on my boat!!!
It was great out there. We were the only boat fishing are spot 2 we had it all to are selves again except for 1 boat doing one drift. Hope more big ones go there for next weeks tournament.

Congrats on a job well done there, FlukeU2.

We had nothing worthy of weigh-in our biggest of 13 keepers on the Roman'Round was 24", and we also had 4 sea bass, including one real nice knucklehead. also in the deep sticky stuff.
Captain Nelson & First mate Pat did a great job with lots of action for us but a winner was not in our cards today.
Your quote...." Around 9:30 I got wacked rod bent in half fish taking drag adjusted it fought the fish for about a min then it popped off."
The same thing happened to me around the same time Saturday AM.
My biggest ever is a ten, and this felt bigger with massive head shakes.
I'm sure it wasn't a rock fish. OH well...........

Again, congratulations and best of luck for continued tight lines.

Oh I forgot that fish I my new personal best. To bad it didn't make 10lbs but not mad at all. Do you think it's possible for it to be the same fish I dropped after fighting it for a min or two? Or definitely another fish? And thanks a lot for all your guys comments
