![]() waiting on the water to warm to low to mid 60's but wanna try a night time shark trip. was thinking about going to the sea girt reef. do you think there is a decent chance at catching there? or does anyone have good tips about getting sharks that close to shore?

![]() I usually float a shark line out while I bottom fish the reefs, assuming boat traffic allows it. Never have fished at night though. In June it is common to get Threshers and blue sharks. As the water warms up, I have gotten small mako's, blue sharks, browns and smaller hammerheads on the reefs. Pass the time with fluke and sea bass.
A few years ago, a boat got a juvenile Great White that was documented with pictures on the news. I see no reason why a night trip wouldn't be successful, just have to keep an eye on all the pots. |
