![]() Nice NW breeze today that never died like they promised. It was good to be back on the ling grounds. We picked all day with some tog, sea bass and cod in the mix with the ling. Most ended the day with 8 to 15 ling with Mike Speck from New Providence winning the pool with a cod fish plus a dozen ling. I ended the day with a nice bag of fillet and I intend to catch more tomorrow.
Sailing at 7:00 AM first boat out. Galley open. Last Ling trip tomorrow. SAILING EARLY 6:00 AM FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FLUKE, FLUKE, FLUKE THANKS CAPTAIN GEORGE |

![]() Great thanks to Captain George, who put us on the fish, as well as the mate John, who was on top of his game had all the fisherfolk under control, with a little help from Joe Jr. (who was busy killing the ling next to me in the stern).
Great trip - clam was the ticket, only minimal success with gulp. If the conditions were a little better the take would only have went up! Now its time for fluke, and to try to beat my all time best from last year (9.25) Of course it was on The Angler! |
