Foggy Blues on the Bay
Decided to get a late start with the fog and was questioning if it was worth going out and decided to give it a try since we have radar and good electronics on board.
Chart plotter got us out of the harbor safely and first time needing to rely on radar for save navigation which really made a big difference marking other boats and channel markers even before u could see the.
Ok so on to fishing report, made our way out to where we had em good last week w no luck tried bunker and trolling and only one blue in dirty water decided to make a move to cleaner water down the bay and wasn't long before we had bent rods w couple double headers. Probably caught 30 or so big blues up to 14 lbs. switched over to wire leader and jigs which brought more fish to the boat.
Good seeing everyone driving slow today and radar was key to safe trip today.
Earlier in the trip I had a sailboat heading right for me and didn't look like he was turning so grabbed the air horn and gave a couple loud blows to get his attention and he quickly changed direction so good to have a air horn handy on foggy days!!
