Default 1/3 cut to sea bass. This is what our sea bass season could look like

There are three options total. There all kind of zany if you ask me. In season closures. One option has a one week season at the start of Sept. I guess that's for Labor Day.

#3 obviously sucks because the best fishing is October. Guys will say "yeah but offshore later is better". $200 dollar trip for 15 fish I don't think so. The other 2 are a wash.

I would pick 3, more fishing days and more during the spring season.

The private boats are killing us. Hahaha, such BS.

The Massachusetts private boats alone out-fished all east coast party and charter boats combined by a 2 to 1 margin.

MRIP's estimate that only NOAA believes.

MA Private Boats
2014 MAY/JUNE BLACK SEA BASS 603,442 lbs.

All US Party/Charter
2014 MAY/JUNE BLACK SEA BASS 340,560 lbs.

They all suck considering how healthy the seabass are

I would say option 1 only lose 2 days from other options in spring... and have real bag limit from late Oct thru end of year.

Will lose aug but it's 3 fish

They add the days up so it's sounds like a longer season but I wouldn't count 2 or 3 seabass bag limit as days of a season more like a by catch

1 would give us most days at 15 fish bag

Did I mention they all suck lol real shame the party boat fleet can't enjoy any winter time fishing

SCREW THE REGS take your shot and catch as many as you want. I'm for conservation but sea bass are thick and there is an insane amount of small fish every year which would lead you to believe the breeding population Is healthy.
