Default braid preference..

Just finished building a rod and bought a nice canyon reel to put on it. I need to spool it up now. I've always used power pro but I'm up for some suggestions. I like the multi colored braid. What brand is that?

Stick with the PP Depth Hunter. Love it! Go with what you know and trust. A little more then the reg PP but worth it.

Np. Once you get the reel all spooled up and mounted, post a couple of pics of the new setup!

Been fishing 50 lb Suffix 832 for the past few years on my tog reels. Last year I fished Saltiga 20 that was spooled with saltiga boat braid multi color 55 lb test which feels smaller in diameter than the suffix 50 lb. Really liked the feel as it is very smooth through your fingers. Caught 3 fish over 10 lbs on that set up. Not cheap as 330 yard spool of 55 lb saltiga braid runs around 49 bucks. It's Togging so being rational about spending money seems to go out the window.

Thanks mvp. I agree. After spending 500$ on a rod reel combo, what's another 50$? Haha

I did the math and Saltiga braid is only like a couple of cents more per yard. Actually not that bad if its a better product.

FINS Shock Absorber for bottom fishing. " . . . 75% spectra and 25% Dacron; this blend allows the line to stretch 8 to 10 percent when under a load. . . "

LOVE this line. Looks like Bakery String but instead of White and Red it's Yellow Spectra with Black Dacron. USe it for tog, Sea Bass and bucktailing Fluke

Try the New Berkeley NANO , its a little pricey, but thinner than the rest , and really retains its shape
