Default Somerset County Trout Streams

Low water conditions have iced up many brooks and streams. Each of the streams I visited looked about the same. There were stretches of open water which quickly turned into ice covered pools. The Peapack Brook, Lamington, Blaack River, and Passaic (Millington area) were all like that. The North Branch in Far Hills was the same way.

i'm hoping ice-out doesn't come until the trout closure... it'll spread the fish out nicely away from the dam/bidge honey holes they stock and i don't mind standing on top of the water until then
