Default Awesome Tog season so far

Has this been the best blackfing in the last 10-15 years or what. I've been out 5 times and had a boat limit plus with some real nice fish mixed in.
Every post I read is the same, even most party boats are doing well.
I guess the closed & 1 fish seasons are working.

agreed...

I'm a hack at best and I had a double limit one day.

The further south seems best though

Have to agree Pete. Limits and quality fish each trip out so far this year. Seeing lots of larger fish caught in the posts also....Hoping it continues deep into the season.

I can't agree with you more states like New York short seasons 4 fish limit doesn't hurt. It wasnt that long ago it used to be 10 fish up there. Even though we hate the regs the fishing has improved. I only hope the Cod will improve I fear those worms are hurting their reproductive cycles. I only wished that the whiting would return that could help the winter fishery greatly.

3 trips so far

Angler 2 shorts for me and most guys got skunked

J2 4 keepers for me but most guys got skunked

NK3 3 shorts for me. Lost a 7 pounder yelling for a net to no avail. One guy had 9 but most guys got skunked

Guess I was at the wrong place at the wrong time to see this great togging.
