Talking Friday November 28th, and 29th Blackfish reports (17.5lber) -Johnny Bucktails

28th: Left the dock at 7am with Bob, Dad, and myself. Took the boys back to the spot where my Dad and I crushed them last week. Sorry for not making a report, have been very busy. We fished in very tough conditions all day long. When it was blowing 25, it was considered nice. The fishing conditions were very difficult but the bite was good, really picked up in the afternoon. We boxed our 18 keepers and prepared for a long ride home. The ocean was snotty but when we turned the bay it was horrible. When i got back to the dock i was invited to fish on my good friend Ryan's 34 seavee the next day.

29th: This is truly a day that i will never forget. Headed out with with a great crew of Ryan, Bob, Bill, and Myself at 6am. We tried a few different area in the morning with no luck but ended the day at the spot i have been fishing. We started swinging in some shorts and keepers and then all hell broke loose. Bob swung on a monster and he knew it was a big fish. He did a great job with the fish and kept constant pressure the entire fight. I got the net and when i saw the fish my eyes lit up. I didn't know if she would fit in the net but i got her in. I had never seen a blackfish that big. After we all celebrated i picked her up and the hook fell out. We all looked each other in disbelief. Fished for a little bit longer and then headed for the barn. Brought the fish to an official weigh in tackle shop on rt 36 and the fish weighed in at a whopping 17.5 pounds !!!! Incredible. Fish of a lifetime. A day that none of us will ever forget. Thanks again to Ryan for having me on his beautiful boat.

Tight lines- Johnny Bucktails
