![]() Got out on the water 12:30 pm to catch the tide. We fished outside of the swatch channel most of the afternoon. Every drift two of us caught plenty of fish. Mostly cookie cutter 17"-17 1/2". We managed six keepers just over 18". Then I moved the boat toward the tip of the hook when the tide changed. Same results. Lots of fish under the 18" mark. They were thick at 35'. We managed to catch 52 fish in a matter of a few hours. Fishing this past week in northern waters has been unreal.
I'll be fishing off Cape May a few days next week. I hope the deep waters off Cape May produces half of what we are catching around the Sandy Hook area. |
