Default Jigs for Block Island Stripers

Will be on a Party Boat from Montauk fishing Block Island on Friday. We will fluke during the day and will eel stripers from dark until midnight. We may do some jigging for bass during the twilight.

Which jigs have the best bet of scoring? Ava (with tails, what color, no tails), hammered, PBJs, crocs? Any thoughts appreciated.

Bill

Crocs up tere only catch yellowed eyed demons... I like hammered plain jigs.. 4-6oz.. I also do a popping trip every yesr(not this due to lack of participation) and we use 9in bomer spooks. Top water plugging.. Awesome!.. Good luck. The starship has been catching 40lbders now. They had a good trip sat night

In that current I would use 8 to 10"s! I like the wide belly type diamond or similar jigs ! Gold / silver canbe good choices !
That being said in that fishery I prefer the eels this time of season , big fish bring taken now .
