Reel Class Friday 7/11 Ling, Cod & Flounder - EXCELLENT Fishing!

Ran our second straight deep water bottom trip in a row and had a full crew of 6 on board (Chris, Mike, Phil, Bill, Brian, Dolores).

Ran out to the east and made 3 drops in ~120' - first one had good life with lots of small to medium sized ling and a few flounder + 1 short cod.

We then moved further east and made 3 drops on wrecks - first one was in 130' and all we had there were a few small ling and one jumbo flounder. Second drop, in 230', was a solid pick of mixed size ling from mediums to larges - we sat there for an hour and just picked away at ling and I think 2 more jumbo flounder. Not great fishing but a good pick.

The last drop of the day was a another wreck in 230' - once we got on it right we had EXCELLENT fishing with about a dozen cod coming up, 4 of which were over 21", a load of large to JUMBO sized ling as well as another flounder or two. Lots of double headers here, and we filled that box up real fast at that point.

Wound up with ~150-200 ling, the 4 cod, 8 winter flounder (7 of which were over 16") and 1 jumbo raven. Loads of meat for everyone and the crew was FANTASTIC - all good fishermen/fisherwomen who really put it together for us! Thanks for coming down!!!

Great report looks like those deep wrecks are the place to go. Way to fill the freezer with good eats
