Pulled the trigger on a new (to me) engine.
2002 Yamaha 200Hp OX66
Have heard nothing but great things about these workhorse engines.

Yep - The OX66s are one of the most reliable 2 stoke engines out there. Congrats and best of luck. Your Mako is going to fly!!

Have a '01 200 OX66 since July of last year. Been beating the snot out of it ever since.
Still learning the powerplant as I'm coming off a lifetime of owning I/O's. She's been good to me so far and pushes the sled like no tomorrow.
