Default Friday 5/30 Bass and Fluke

Got out early with friends Roy, Jeff and Brian for a combo trip. Made bait in 1 throw We were throwing some bunker back in as we headed out as the well was loaded. Got to where we wanted and set up. Started off slow with a couple bluefish but Roy broke the ice with a nice bass. Jeff followed shortly after with a bigger bass. Both fish released but that proved to be it as far as the bass went. The bluefish kept us busy through the morning with some being landed and many bite offs. By 1:00 all we had was the occasional bluefish so decided to change course.

For flukin we hit a few spots on the outside while heading back to the Hook but the action just was not there. A hit on the jigs here and there, some shorts, birds and doggies tight to the beach. On the inside we only found shorts too so we headed for the barn around 4:30. Felt good to be back on the water for the first time since January.
