Default Raritan Bay Flushed?

I'm hearing reports from locals that the Bay looks like a toilet with all that fresh water and dirt flushed in to it. When this happens, and it has many times before, how long does it take for fishing, especially for stripers, to return to normal?

I find the strippers are easiest to find at night, use dollar bills for bait. The stripers on the other hand are a little tougher.

Just loaded up on fresh clams from the tackle shop and a stack of singles from the bank; stripers in the morning, strippers in the evening
