Response from Senator Menendez
Dear Mr. S:
Thank you for contacting me to express your support for S. 2080, the National Fish Habitat Conservation Act. Your opinion is very important to me, and I appreciate the opportunity to respond to you on this critical issue.
The National Fish Habitat Conservation Act would establish a National Fish Habitat Board to promote, oversee, and coordinate the existing National Fish Habitat Action Plan and establish partnerships to develop and carry out fish habitat conservation projects. This bill was introduced on March 5, 2014, and has been referred to the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, of which I am not a member.
Ensuring the sustainable use of our marine ecosystems and fisheries is of the utmost importance. The health of these ecosystems is especially crucial for those living in coastal communities in New Jersey, as they provide a vital source of income, commerce, and recreation. Please rest assured that I will continue to be a strong advocate for the responsible management of our nation's fisheries, and will keep your thoughts squarely in mind should the National Fish Habitat Conservation Act come up for a vote before the full Senate.
Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I may be of more assistance. I invite you to visit my website (

I sent him a form letter I guess he sent me one back.
