Unhappy R.I.P. Captain Wayne Eble

Captain Wayne Eble

AGE: 51 • Barnegat

Captain Wayne Eble, 51, of Barnegat, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Wayne was the Captain of the charter boats, Searcher II and The Webo. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener.

Son of the late Charles Eble Sr., he survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Meehan; his daughters, Jaime and her husband Gregory and Jillian; his sons, Wayne and Kyle Greenhalgh; his mother, Doris Eble; 2 brothers, Ronald and his wife Cindy and Charles, II and his wife Robin; and grandson, Hans.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 13 at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin. Funeral services are 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 14 at the funeral home after which there will be a funeral procession past the Searcher II in Barnegat Light. Condolences may be sent to www.shinnfuneralhome.

My condolences. Fished a few times on the searcher capt. Wayne always put us on the fish. He surely will be missed. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

My condolences to Captain Wayne's family and friends. I haven't been down to Barnegat in many years but sailed on the Searcher many times. Great boat and a great operation.

I was asking about him this winter, heard he wasn't doing great but didn't know how bad it was...

My condolences to his family....RIP.


Had some amazing blackfish trips on his boat....got my pb with him.
