Default Jumbo cod and pollack

Jeff nailed it when he told me on Tuesday that Fridays cod and pollack trip should be good after the stretch of bad weather. Well he was right on. I called Archie Stewart of Nutley on Thursday and he met me at the boat Friday AM. The ocean was nice with plenty of cod eating jigs and bait. Archie ended the day with 4 cod to 33 pounds and 2 pollack. At times bait was best and for some jigging was best. I ended the day with 4 pollack and 2 cod. The Spring run of big fish has started.

Glad to hear a great report. Hadn't talked to Arch in weeks. Good to see he hasn't lost the touch.
