Miss Belmar - Great striper fishing today!

We started out the day in pea soup fog with a nice group of people and went out 3 miles to the East where we left off yesterday. We stopped the boat on some readings and immediately had fish on with some short stripers, 5-8 lb blues and caught 2 keeper stripers. We made several more stops and repeated the same. As we lost the tide, fishing dwindled more and more. On the change of the tide, we went back in towards the beach and saw plenty of bird life, read some bait and there were fish swirling. We caught some more shorts and picked away on keeper stripers. As the afternoon progressed, fishing got better and we ended the day with a couple dozen keeper stripers and approximately 35 blues. Our pool winner was Bonnie Olynyk from Cream Ridge, NJ with a 15.5 lb striper.
