GOVERNOR CHRISTIE SPORTSMEN'S RALLY



Attention all sportsmen andsportswomen - this is your rally. Governor Christie will attend asportsmen/women rally to hear your issues and discuss the accomplishments madeon your behalf during the past 4 years. Meet Governor Christie - and show himby your numbers -- that you appreciate the accomplishments made on your behalfduring the past 4 years. Most importantly, -- show by your numbers -- thatoutdoors issues need 4 more years of priority in order to reverse decades ofneglect by Trenton!



Date: Sunday, November 3rd

Time: 4:30 PM

Place: Camp Jefferson Amphitheatre

Lake Hopatcong, NJ


The "Sportsmen's Rally" willset the tone for the next 4 years.

Attend the rally to say"thanks" and to also let the Governor know that New Jersey's MarineFisheries Bureau gets needs critical attention so that it can sustainrecreational and commercial fishing, which is a $2 billion industry. Attend therally for improved forest habitat and implementation of forest managementmethods. Attend the rally to show support for the many environmentalstewardship contributions made by sportsmen and sportswomen. Attend the rallyand be counted!

Rally: Join in the tradition

The "Sportsmen's Rally" isa tradition that began in 2007 in Mullica Hill, New Jersey. It led to the"Battle of Monmouth Rally" in Clarksburg, NJ and the R.O.O.R. Rally(rescue our outdoors rally) in New Egypt, NJ.

These rallies have helped to changethe political landscape of New Jersey while highlighting the importantcontributions made by the nearly 1,000,000 sportsmen and women of New Jersey.

Rally: Say "Thanks"

Be a part of a rally that showsappreciation to Governor Christie.

Governor Christie has recognized theimportance of protecting and advancing our freedoms to fish and hunt in NewJersey. Here is his record on outdoors issues:


- Governor Christie appointed theChairman of the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance to his NJ Department ofEnvironmental Protection transition team.


- Governor Christie signed the 150'safety perimeter bill for bow hunting.


- Governor Christie signed Hooked onFishing not on Drugs.


- Governor Christie has supported andimplemented science-based bear hunting.


- Governor Christie has helped todevelop a plan to resolve fixed gear conflicts on state reefs and has committedto petitioning the federal government for the removal of fixed gear fromfederal reefs.

- Governor Christie has publiclyrecognized the numerous conservation and economic contributions made byanglers, hunters, trappers and outdoors enthusiasts.

- Governor Christie has prioritizedthe importance Division of Fish and Wildlife.

Agreed. I'll support a call for us to go to an actually rally to fight for our rights, but not one that "thanks" some politician, especially right before an election...

I'll keep my personal opinions to myself on this specific politician too and not say what I really want to say...

I won't give my opinion of CC either, but he's pandering for votes a week before the election.

At the crucial ASMFC meeting in Baltimore in December, Christie ordered the NJ delegates to side with Virginia and Omega Protein and vote against any significant reduction of the reduction industry's catch of menhaden. This despite overwhelming evidence that the bunker population is crashing. Wonder why there were hardly any peanut bunkers in Raritan Bay in late summer and fall? Wonder why stripers aren't chasing adult bunkers along our coast right now? And why jigging is therefore so poor?

Sure, lets thank our governor for sabotaging years of work by NJ anglers to protect what's left of the menhaden population.
