capt's jimmy gahm and kevin gerrity took dr greg shapiro of philly out for his annual canyon trip on friday oct 4,2013. the conditons were fantasctic 83 degrees in october and flat calm seas, not something doc is accustomed to on his october trips. upon arrival to the grounds capt jimmy was greeted by acres of porpoise so we put em in and before kevin had all the lines in we came tight on two nice yellowfins. well, that's either a great sign , or a jinx. jimmy yelled at kevin no pictures, gettum back in, so we collard the fish and kept chasing the porpoise, only to come up empty. we trolled the rest of the day without a touch, but had super high hopes as kevin had slayed them the trip before. nada! the entire fleet of approximately 80 boats was not happy, a few boats did do well but the majority did not. as usual doc got off the boat with a great attitude as did his friends and thanked us for the effort. it was not what we had hoped for, but we'll get em next time.
