Miss Belmar - Excellent fishing today for jumbo blues!

Friday night, we headed out to the East. We read fish and anchored up. It took a few minutes to get them started and once we did, we started catching blues 10-18 lbs all around the boat on sinker rigs and flat lines. Around 11:00 p.m. it started to slow down so we made a move ½ mile further East and immediately started to pick fish around the boat again. High hook ended up with 12 blues.

Saturday night, we headed out East again with a nice crowd. The fishing picked up and we held 3-5 on around the boat with shots of more. It slowed down in the early morning to a pick until it was time to head home. High hook had 18, only keeping his legal limit. The blues ranged anywhere from 11-18 lbs.

Saturday, Sunday & Monday morning fishing was slow. We read the fish, however, they just did not want to cooperate.

This morning, we went to the East along the edge of the mud hole and had excellent results! We anchored up and had fish on as we were coming back on the anchors. We read them 50’ mid water to the bottom. We caught on jigs, ava 47’s & crocodiles, and bait. The blues ranged from 10-17 lbs and fishing couldn’t get any better than it was today. It was a major improvement over what it has been the past few days. Our pool winner was George Grimes from Millstone, NJ with a 17 lb blue!
