Default pa wild brook trout

well,the birdman's report gave me the itch for wild brookies.so I took my kids for a hike in state game lands 180 off rt739 past Dingmans pa to a small creek with 1 big fishable hole.my girls reeled in 5 and I got 7 or 8 all on a sm gold panther martin. here a picture of 1 of the big ones 8 or 9 incher, the fish were between 4 and 9 inch

Nice fish! im glad i motivated you to go.

small gold panther martins are the absolute best lure for trout of all sizes & species in my opinion, along with gold acme kastmasters.

Good to see you had a nice time out there.

So true, although the fly guys beg to differ or say "its not about numbers" which of course is a ridiculous statement.

Silver works well too. I use gold in low light or turbid waters. Poconos have many of those wine-colored, tannin-stained waters where the gold spinners were perfectly. Pinch barbs down for easy release. Smallies love them almost as much as trout do.
