Back from the MARATHON.......

Well if you know me, you'll know I do quite a few of these back to back things just cause I Can't Fish Enough and the wife's cool about it. Started off Friday night at the Valley, Got the baits in the water at 10:30pm running little late due to my daughter working till 9:00pm. We fished the south shore for a change, usually never fish that side so thought we would change it up.
Slow bite, but we ended up with six nice rainbows all on shrimp (NO CORN).
along with numerous rock bass and huge bluegills. All fish caught in 45-50fow. We only moved three times but stayed similar depth each time.
Sorry no pics due to my rule of not removing the fish from the water and release asap! We wrapped it up about 2:30am.
Got home by 3:30am swapped over some gear, grabbed a coffee and was back on the road to Spruce by 4:15am. This time to meet up the Jeremy, a.k.a. Jigman13. Got to the lake by 5:30ish several boats on the ramp and a line so took a bit to launch but finally splashed GetANet and off we went looking for some hybrids , Fished off campers point for a while as we had some pretty good marks but only ended up with one SMB there. We had a few bites but the fish were not aggressive at all kinda just sucked in the bait and either slowly swam away or just dropped back to the bottom and didn't move. Kinda strange I thought but so it goes. We then set up with the advice of a fellow NJF member whom we saw out on the lake later that day.
Thanks once again for the info. Made our way across the lake making a pass or two with no love. Decided to search for fish again, Drove quite a while till]
we found them again on back side off campers point. We ended up with one LMB and three more SMB there even tought the marks were great again.
So decided to look again and found some nice marks up the other end of the lake were we set up for the last drop of the day. Fished a while and finally rod goes off ripping drag, OH Yea maybe nice hybrid!!!!!! So after a few minute battle I land em! Nice channel about three pounds on the scale my PB. (lol) not too long after called it a day. All in all two decent trips, Jeremy is a great guy to fish with, Smart guy and tons of laughs!!! He has the pics so can't post em' either. All the smallies were very odd colored almost silver with some gold markings on them. Jeremy has the pics so. All in all two
decent trips out caught a few fish to break the skunk and had a great time as well and got some very important knowledge too!!!! Fished about 14hrs.
Drove about 150miles( back and forth twice!!!!!)
Now time for a few cold ones
and some ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ's.

Thats some hardcore work you're putting in. I ended up with a eleven....... bite was decent from 430 to 730. Ended the day with with two doubles. Wish we could a chatted some more but I was on the troll. lol

Its' settled, we're going one of these weekends!

Yea, they're a lot of fun and a lot of fishing. Dog azz tired after them but enjoy being able to still do them. The older you get the harder they are to do but I still love to do em' and it's not really something you wanna do alone in a boat. Told Jigman " Been fishing since ten thirty last night SO i'm a little cranky but he got me laughing and having a blast again. All I can say is thank god for RED BULL and Quick Check coffee. If you wanna do one give me a shout I think I got a few more left in me before summer's up!!!! Then
it's on to GOD"S COUNTRY for HYBRIDS AND EYES During normal hours in the fall!!!!!!!

Good times Dale--lots of quality laughs. The bite was def finicky. We had a few nice swings and misses on that last stop where we ran into bicey. We'll get em' next time. Marathons and turnarounds are what keeps us running! I'm ALL IN for another trip there... esp after being provided with some pointers. I told you i was hoping they were gonna turn on.......and they did! I was looking for you guys....i should've gotten your cell number! I can appreciate the time you two put in fishing, so i have no problem taking you guys out sometime.
