Thumbs up Great Day on the Long Shot!

Got invited on J.Murr's Long Shot Charter today. Had a little problem filling the boat since a lot of guys were fishing the tournament today, but we managed to scrape together 6 haggard soles, JMurr, Myself, Dennis, Gary, Vinnie and Lou!

While I had a feeling that today was going to be a real good day, I still must admit that I didn't expect we would have a boat limit by 1:00PM! Capt Chris took us to one spot with the hopes that we could catch a few before the current started running to hard. Turns out we never had a problem with the current and never had to leave the area.

Lou managed the Dollar fish and Vinnie had the $ for the biggest. Weighed in at the dock 8.7lbs. While I couldn't manage anything over 5# I did have my limit by 9:30 or so and finished the day with a double limit. Actually I had to release a keeper at the end but Dennis says it doesn't count because I should have stopped fishing sooner? Dennis had a double limit too. And someone has a picture of the Sculpin King actually releasing a keeper.

So far, this year The Long Shot has been the only boat I can find a full limit of Fluke on. Two trips 3 limits, not a bad average. (Only keeping my legal limit, of course!) Thanks Capt. Chris, & BJ, FJ, hey you, or what ever your name is!

well i hate to tell it like it is but Ron is a liar this trip was garbage! i caught 25+ fluke today & only had 10keepers up to about 7lbs also threw back a 3lber at the end of the day & threw back a big winter fluke, but not 1 sea robin! Captain Chris must be saving the good spot for someone else!

ok that was sarcasm

Best fluke day I ever had,& chris caught me a huge philly scallop! nice to see Capt.Chris is dialed in on the fluke! he has worked hard to become one of the best at his craft, this was my first time actually sailing with chris at the helm & won't be the last! get out with him now!follow the links for the pics & bring on the hate!

Glad to hear you guys beat em up! Just a little too rough for a pretzel transfer. I'm sure they were good!

Boat looks awesome Chris!
