![]() Temp: HOT
Water Temp: 69/Clear Beer: Miller Lite Bait: Squid/Spearing/Bucktail/Killies Tide: ?? Got to the boat with my buddy and headed out at 5am. Arrived at the hook - flat calm little moving water. Did a little searching and went ocean side for a bit - only to find cooler water temps So we moved back to the knoll off the tip of the Hook and we found em. We made drifts all morning long that produced shorts and some nice keepers. Starting shallow and working the edge toward the channel. 18ft-47 ft. between 21 and 31 feet produced most of our fish. We even got a nice size croaker. Action all day long until about 1:30 and then we headed in. Finished the day with 5 Keeps 1 Croaker and about 20 shorts or so. Most hits were on killies - and the spearing squid produced a lot of shorts. Beautiful day on the water. On way back in had some engine issues. Was running great then bogs out and wont go past 2300 RPM. Might be a fuel filter issue - or at least I hope. Will have to check it out. Tight Lines.
