Default Lake George Trip

Heading up in two weeks, any advice, or tips? Possibly a good charter to hire? Any advice could help.

Where are you staying, I know a good charter on the north section of the lake in Hague. I'll post a link tomorrow, I'm on my phone right now.

You can catch small mouth all over the lake. Rent a boat and go on your own. Best spots are where streams enter the lake like the north end of north west bay. If you are going to go for a guide, target lake trout.

Just got back from Lake George a week ago. Been going their for years. If you have your own boat and a fish finder look for the rock piles just north of dome island before the narrows they come up to 25' from about 70'. This year the large mouth out numbered the small mouth 5 to 1. Never saw it like that before. I used a drop shot rig with any type of rubber worm.

Honestly I don't think a charter is necessary. I've had good luck on gradual dropoffs. Bouncing stuff on the bottom. I'll be up on schroon lake next week. Can't wait

Rod Bender, guys name in JJ.
Best troller for lakers and salmon.
Using him for years.
Nice comfy boat.
A 4 or a 6 hr am trip is plenty.
Usually puts about a dozen fish in the boat in that time frame.
He also does a evening bass trip for like 60 bux.
