Fished both days ,On Saturday we had Lou Forenzi and friends on board to fish both tournaments . Headed south in the fingers. Had green water and 64 degrees . Not much life and no drift until 3:00 PM in the afternoon. Three Blue shark releases and played around with two small Mako's ,around 50 lbs.
On Sunday we had Bob McNarmara ,with family and coworkers . Headed out to the east about 25 miles. Found a little cleaner water ,whales,bait birds and a lot more life then day before as well as a nice breeze and drift. Had four Blue sharks and did not come tight on the other three run offs. At 5:00 PM we had a bluefish about 12 lbs , Put two filets out and fished to almost 6:00 PM but no other takers.
Congratulations to the winners in both tournaments!! Maybe it will be our time next year.
