Default papa's angels 6/18 trip with the wolenuk party

we had the afternoon into early evening trip today with the brian wolenuk party also on board were family members steve, keith, elisa, debbie and bob, this was a blue fish trip headed to out first stop with very little action only 1 fish was caught, changed locations with the outgoing tide and the fishing got better. The group had action with the blues landed a nice amout of fish but also losing a fair amount at boatside, Brian caught his first ever striper a 26 inch fish which was released, steve had a surprise catch a nice 23 inch 4 lb fluke he caught on a wire leaded and 6/0 hook while the boat was at anchor. Inspite of the heavy rain which came down this good group of anglers stayed at the rail and fished the entire trip.

Thumbs up Re: papa's angels 6/18 trip with the wolenuk party

Very wet trip but a great time it was! The group stayed at the rail and fished through the rain like champs! The blues were biting and we even had a few fluke.. 5 shorts and one real nice 4 pound 23in flatty!! it was a .. Was on one side gaffing two blues when i ran over to other side to gaff what i was expecting to be another one and all i see is a doormat coming up off the bottom.. My eyes pealed open and scooped that fish rite up into the boat.. It was awesome!! Despite the rain we all had a great time and lots of smiles and laughs had by all! Brian even hooked a horseshoe crab somehow.. lol.. a very big one at that!! thankfully it was just hooked on the shell and we were able to release her back into water with no damage.. Brian also hooked into a fat 26in bass.. It was a beautiful very healthy looking bass and we snapped a few pics of her and got her back into the water asap and she swam off great!!

Capt Joe and I had a great time and we hope to see you guys back again soon!

Nice job getting on the fish Capt Joe and Jeff. I need to get back out there and get me some door mats.
