Default Good chatterbait bite (pic)

Off for the week and new to the serious fishing thing. Went 3 times to a new lake. Each time fished a diff. lure (predominately). Each time 3 hours and about 1/2 doz fish. First time wacky worm, second time top water, today chatterbait (first time with this lure). Although I'm no expert I think I have figured out that a feeding bass will eat anything but its still fun to try diff techniques. Biggest fish was 2.86 on top water. This fish is about 1.86.

What size chatter bait? what color? Did you use any trailer for your chatter bait?

Don't really know the size. Black and blue with a small minnow shaped trailer, forget the brand but one of the ones packed in liquid that smells like fish. Don't think any of that stuff matters though IMO. These fish were aggressive.

bowz, thank you for your response. I myself love playing with chatter bait. I have had some luck with 1/4 oz frog chatter bait with grub trailer. I kept using 1 oz to catch the big one but haven't been successful yet.
