Deal Surf Report: Last Weekend and Today
Well, I was able to get down to do some Striped Bass fishing at the Deal Surf lately, since last weekend.
Last Sunday morning, I managed 2 bass on clams, one that got off half way in and another that I was able to tag for a picture on the jetty. Both small fish around 17-18 inches, appreciated nonetheless. I had lot of small pecks and pick ups of the baits, but they really were not too commited. Small fish most definitely.
Today was the same, except no fish for me. A lot of small pecks and so forth. One gentlemen right next and perpindicular to me on the beach did well. He was fishing a fish finder and had 2 bass, one short and one about 15-17lbs. He was not casting far at all, which is decorum.
Next weekend I should have a little more independence and should be able to put in some overtime.
Nice spring mornings at the Deal Surf, notheless.
