Saw a couple short tog and a small striper caught near south end of canal on Sunday

I have always wanted to fish here but never tried. Is there alot of public access so I wouldnt have a problem fishing there?

Lots of public access, just stay away from the State Police Marine barracks on the west side of canal

slack tide is best for blackfish due to the fast currents and hangs in the canal. slack hi/low is about 3 hours after the high for manasquan inlet
