Pickerel/bass - 4/27

Hit a public lake from 1:15 to 5:30. Water was 59F-63F so the fish were very active. Splashes all around the lake as pickerel and bass were busting the surface on shiners. Decided to use the buzzbait and its was go from the start. No big bass as the range was 6 to 14" but plenty of them. Pickerel ranged from 10 to 19" with most 14-16". Pickerel outnumbered the bass about 4:1 but they were a blast with many torpedoing the buzz from ten feet or more.

Great start to the year so far. When we get warm days, the action is terrific. Just wish we had more of them. Turning colder tomorrow
