Opening Day Approaching, Finally!
APRIL 16, long awaited since the november 1 cod closure in the gulf of maine, party boats and charter boats are all geared up for this. BIG MAC will test the shoals of stellwagen bank first hitting some honey holes of past years. i suspect jigging will be the method in depths ranging between 20 and 22 fathoms. a three to four mile move to the northeast should produce some bigger fish and maybe some haddock. will let you know. best, capt. jim
