Went Wed 4/10. Surface H20 temp 60, as compared to last weeks 50. Fairly new to serious fishing and this was my first time with deep diving crank. May as well have been a topwater. Its a floater, threw it next to a log up against the bank with the intent of pulling it down the slope. Bass swiped as soon as it hit but missed. Threw it again but this time I had to twitch twice before it hit. Backed out into open water to photo. and released. Returned and threw again. Same reaction as first but my line was wrapped around back treble so I couldnt sink a hook. Couldn't get it to strike again. Thought I had a pattern but fished similiarly(sp?) for 2 more hours and nuttin.
