![]() I don't disagree, the intent is there, I just found the Arc to be real difficult to use. My intent was to use it to remove old hooks left in the sharks mouth, these had the lines cut short so you couldn't get leverage by holding line.
for smaller fish I use the rounded hook with "T" handle, I find this to be easiest and fastest. Not sure yet on have to better remove old hooks from sharks, other than carefully with pliers. |

![]() Once you get the hang of it, the ARC dehooker is great. I use my longer one to release dogs and skates while they are still in the water, no need to even bring them into the boat most times.
