Anybody know what the current porgy limit is? My friend crazy ray, aka "stripbait" was afraid to put a post on here to ask you guys because he thought he would get made fun of for not knowing

In federal waters is 20. I'm not sure if it pertains to state waters too.

This is for 2012 though and on their site it says Regulations remain in effect until changed so 50 should be the limit still in NJ.

in NY it looks like it is 20 or 40 depending on the month but I think the season is closed in Jan:

Anyone let me know if I am reading these wrong too.

Federal waters is 20 fish at 10.5". No porgies within 3 miles now so state regs do not apply.
