Default Post hurricane fishing

I live in Trenton and didn't have any problems from the hurricane so I went fishing in a flooded 56 degree beaver pond for an hour yesterday evening. I caught and released 44 black crappies to 9" and 5 bluegills to 8" with an unpainted 1/32 oz leadhead jig with 1" purple twister tail on 2 lb test line. A few times when I lifted my lure from the pond, a fish jumped out of the water after the lure but they all missed it. When I moved my lure through the water on a short line, I caught a few crappies. Fishing is much better now than before the storm.
