Feed Bag On...............
Decided to go to my local honeyhole about three thirty. The breeze was calming down a little and i had the itch, as i usually like to fish on these days. Got out on the water and it looked great,lots of activity. Saw several fish breaking{actually had one bass swim up and clear the water about two feet from the back of the boat}. I haven't thrown a spinnerbait in a while but felt like the right bait. I used a spro spinnerbait that had four gold willow leaves to give the appearance of a school of baitfish and it was GAME ON!
Third cast was hooked up and on my way, ended up with eight LMB all nice keepers except one dink. Lost two more at the boat. I was also throwing a senco to fish i saw breaking and hooked up with a nice fattie that sawed me off on the trolling motor and had prob the biggest fish of the trip on a black buzzbait do a quick release at boatside. I got a few hits but no hookups, couldn't quite figure it out until finally got slammed by a huge black crappie on the spinnerbait Holy *#@% it took both the trailer and main hook into its mouth! One of the biggest I have ever caught. Was off the water by seven and hopefully back again tomorrow.
