Default Passaic 10/4

Hit the passaic in one of my new favorite stretches and did ok. Got four smallies nothing of size and a nice fat 30'' pike. Most of the fish were on a chartreuse spinner and the others on a swim bait. With the higher water table bank fishing is much easier in my opinion especially because the fish are holding super tight to structure. If anyones up for some fishin im gonna be targeting the striped ones on sunday or monday morning.

tough to say where its best but i would start off by looking where the water is a little bit more salt than fresh but what to use is really tough to say. If i knew what the fish were biting on every day I would probably have my own tv show.

I was told poppers, pencil poppers, white jerk baits as far as lures go.... I suppose I will have to venture down into the Newark area....

Those lures should work I really havent tageted stripers in the passaic in a while so Im sure there are others on this site that know much more than myself. If youve ever fished for them off the beach you can use very similar methods. Keep in mind though the passaic is loaded with eels one of the reasons they go up the river in the first place.
